So the other day I bought plane tickets but the flight was canceled shortly after. Now, the flight company is offering me a refund to the card that made the purchase, witch is not the same I physically got because I used Apple Pay.
I’ve read that Apple Pay uses this “Device Account Number” instead of the number of the real card. No problem here. What I don’t know what to do is get a refund online, the information about refunds seems to be aimed at “in person” purchases.
If I accept the refund to this “Device Account Number” will it get to my card??

I had a similar problem with returning something at IKEA and the customer service person was a bit puzzled because none of the cards I had matched the “card number” on the receipt, but in the end they found a way to do it through the cash register, so maybe ask the airline what their procedure is?
