Excellent guide! Some extra information would be really handy for noobs, things like configuring battery optimizations for gmscore, adding the branding patch to make the app say Revanced, disabling stock YT, and configuring Revanced to be able to open external links.

The app should suggest a version number to you, that is your latest download. apkmirror is not malware. It is the only site you should download the YouTube APK from, a lot of other APK sites have malware
