r/GalaxyWatch on Reddit: Battery life Galaxy Watch 7 44 mm
June 6, 2025 -

I've been thinking of gettin a GW7 since it has all the features i need. The only down side is the battery life, or so i've reader. But havent found any recent opinions.
How muchbattery life can i get out of it with normal use, definetly no AOD. I know normal use is relative but im trying to get a feeling if i can deal with a low battery life or it is as bad as i've heard (2 recharges/day).

I had the GW7 40mm Bt variant and even after learning my usage patterns it could hardly last 1.5 days sometimes not even a single day but now changing to 44mm LTE variant the jump feels huge. Also the display looks better not only because of the larger area but it feels as if the apps were first optimised for this screen and then were dialed down for the 40mm one.

Hi Friends !

I'm considering getting a Galaxy Watch again, but I've never picked the most comfortable one for me.

I already had a Gear S3 and a Watch Pro 5, but I resold them because of the size. I always choose the bigger screen and better battery life. However, after a few weeks, the size started to annoy me.

So I want to try a smaller one with a 40 mm screen, but I'm really worried about the battery life. My goal is to charge it every two days while I take a full shower (this worked with the Pro 5). I also sleep with it for sleep analysis. I don't use the always-on screen.

I also love the idea of having Gemini hands-free, but the 8 is not quite to my taste. It's not completely ugly, but I much prefer the 7. Does Samsung plan to add Gemini to the 7 at a later date?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

February 17, 2025 - Happy to report that my Galaxy Watch 7 44mm BT version is delivering some absolutely insane numbers. It just lost 30% in almost 23 hours of usage. Would easily last 3 days at this rate. This is the best Android Wear OS watch I've EVER used.

r/GalaxyWatch on Reddit: Terrible Battery Life on the Galaxy Watch 7 44mm lte
November 15, 2024 -

Hey everyone,

Iโ€™ve had my Galaxy Watch 7 for about 3 weeks now and Iโ€™m really struggling with battery life. Iโ€™m only getting around 14 hours on a full charge, which feels far below what Samsung advertises (they claim 48 hours. I was at least expecting 30โ€“36).

Hereโ€™s my current setup:

  • Mobile Network: On

  • Raise Wrist to Wake: On

  • Auto-detect Workouts: On

  • Always On Display (AOD): Off

  • Touch to Wake: Off

  • NFC: Off

  • Heart Rate: Every 10 mins

  • Stress Monitoring: Continuous

  • Hey Google: Off

  • Software: Fully up to date

Is this normal for others using the LTE version?

Curious if anyone else is experiencing the same or if I should consider getting it checked. Any tips to improve battery life would also be appreciated!

Thanks in advance ๐Ÿ™

Hello,

I was wondering what I can expect for battery life for the Watch 7 44mm. I have been very excited to open it but I just saw the reviews claiming it has absurdly bad battery life (pretty much every single review).

I would like it to at least last from 9am to 9pm. I don't really want any other watch and I can't get an apple watch because I have a Samsung phone.

I have a very basic Casio watch that I wear everywhere so I wouldn't be wearing the Samsung watch everywhere (probably just for workouts).

I saw one review where the battery only lasted 3 hours 55 minutes (this would not be enough).

Is the battery life worth it or should I just return it now and get a different one?

I just got a s25 ultra from Best buy. I received an $80 gift card and I'm considering buying the Galaxy watch. I'm wondering how much difference there is between the gw7 40 mm and gw7 44 mm battery life. Looks like the gw 7 44 mm battery life is about 25% bigger. It's supposed to last 2 to 3 days. Is the 40 mm watch good for at least a day and a half? How has your battery life been using the 40 mm?
