A couple of months ago, I posted about getting the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, and after using it with my Huawei Mate 30 Pro for a while, I wanted to share my honest thoughts.
Battery life: The watch lasts around 2 to 3 days on a full charge, which is decent but not amazing. If you use GPS or always-on display frequently, expect it to drain faster.
Performance: Overall, it runs smoothly, but there is some lag, especially when scrolling quickly through apps. It’s not a dealbreaker for me, as it doesn’t affect normal usage too much.
Compatibility with Huawei Mate 30 Pro: Even though my phone doesn’t have Google services, the watch still works fine. Some features may be limited without Samsung Health syncing perfectly, but I haven’t had major issues with notifications or basic smartwatch functions.
Final thoughts: If you’re okay with slightly older hardware and minor lag, the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is still a solid smartwatch in 2025. The design is premium, the rotating bezel is great, and it still holds up well for daily use.

For context I'm thinking of getting a galaxy watch 4 for 5000 php (100$) because it's on sale right now. It's more premium brother is for sale for around 7,500 php (150$) should I save more money and buy a watch 5 for about 12,500 php (225 $) or should I buy the watch 4 this week. Hi, I had used LG Watch Style until last year when my battery died, and now I think it's time for an upgrade and I'm looking into GW4 Classic, but since it's an older model I have some doubts about performance and future software compatibility. I also like the price of GW4 Classic because it's a 180$ in my country for a LTE version, but 350$ for GW5 without LTE. LTE is not important for me but it's a nice bonus. But I'm also worried about upcoming WearOS 4, will it be compatible with GW4 Classic? I'm worried that I will soon lose software compatibility and will be immediately stuck with outdated apps and lack of new features (because that new support of multiple phones support looks awesome in WearOS4), so my questions are this:

I've been searching for a smartwatch (and I think one with WearOS would be the best choice), mainly for setting up reminders/check calendar, control music, heartrate monitor, whatsapp notifications, google maps and keep track of very simple fitness activity.
I've found the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic on ebay for like 60$ but with all the shipping and import fees it gets to 100$. Is it still worth it now in 2025 or should I get another newer smartwatch for a similar price, if it exists? Thank you!
