I'm considering applying for a Citi Sears Credit Card because I've heard a lot about their generous spending offers throughout the year. However, I'm a bit confused about the different card variations I've come across online.

On one page linked from Doctor of Credit, I see this card:https://www.shopyourway.com/credithub/overview

But on another page, I see multiple variations like:

• Sears Mastercard® with ThankYou® Rewards

• Shop Your Way Mastercard

I'm now a bit unsure which variation to apply for. Could someone please clarify the differences between these cards?

Also, are the cashback rewards earned on these cards equivalent to ThankYou points?

Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Citi is replacing all its Sears Mastercards with new ones, separate numbers now for multiple cards on the account. In the process of doing this, they "lost" the Thank You rewards points my wife and I had on our account. Getting competent phone help calling Citi - or Thank You - is next to impossible (you can tell incompetent help when you hear reading empathetic statements from a script, versus trying to show they understand your problem), but last week I managed to escalate to a helpful supervisor who said this is a known problem - the "migrated" accounts like mine are disconnected from the earned rewards points. And that it's being worked on. But she couldn't say when this would be fixed.

I'm wondering:

1. Are others having this problem?

2. Has anyone succeeded in fixing it?

3. Can I expect my past-earned points to again be accessible, without having to go through Citi customer support?

4. Are our newly-issued cards accruing Thank You points? This is especially important because we were in a promotion where we were getting - I think - triple points until end of year

5. Any tips on getting competent help from Citi, other than hoping to reach first-line support who is empowered to escalate? I've used multiple Citi contact numbers, sent email from my online account with them, even dm'ed them on Twitter - and nothing has succeeded

I received a letter from Citi today informing me that, effective April 12, my Sears Mastercard will become a Citi ThankYou Mastercard. Citi probably didn't see the value in continuing to carry the Sears name on these accounts. Even though I used the card sparingly due to a lack of stores and onerous APR for general purposes, not seeing a Sears card in my wallet for the first time since 1994 will be odd.
