Hi all, recently I was contacted regarding an HR expert position that I applied for and informed that the starting rate is $15/hr to coincide with the sales floor pay rate. I was of course a little surprised but I wondered, for those of you who may have started in position like this, was the rate increased quickly or at least were you considered for promotions in a reasonable amount of time?
{Edit}: Sorry, I wasn’t trying to come off a particular way or saying I “deserve” special pay. Ultimately I believe all team members should be making more than $15/hr just for dealing with the customers the way they have to, but still I ask just if HR has the ability to really be progressive instead of a stagnant position. Seeing the “up to” $24/hr made me think there was an increase with various wages across all departments at least a little closer to that mark rather than $9 below it.
How much does a "human resources expert" make at Target?
Really not sure where the last commenter got their information.
"Human Resources Expert" at Target is the same as "Human Resources Team Member". Yes, the name changed. You have no subordinates. Yes, it is entry level. Yes, it is hourly ($13/hr), not salary.
The position reports to a Human Resources Team Leader or in many instances an Executive Team Leader of Human Resources, who is salary.
