I do not have an iPhone, but I've had an Apple account for years with iTunes for my Apple TV (and from when I used my iPod Touch for music). I'm trying to recover my password and got the message that my email is not valid, but I pay the monthly insurance on my son's iPhone that I bought through Apple and I get a receipt emailed from them to THAT old email address every month...how is this possible and how can I get signed back into my account? As we all know if I create a new ID, I'll lose anything I purchased. Thanks in advance. 🙏

If you're referring to AppleCare+ & you purchased AC+ after purchasing the iPhone (not at the same time), that coverage likely isn't linked to your Apple ID. You'll know if the email has an option to link your Apple ID. "Apple ID is not valid or supported" error message can mean a few different things. Given the info you provided, Apple may have deactivated your account. Give Support a call so they can look into it and if applicable, request reactivation.
