August 29, 2021 - As a Toscanini's fan I'm certainly underwhelmed by the superlatives around it being the best ice cream in the world. And as an aside, there aren't many spots that beat Van Leeuwen's pistachio or Haagen-Dasz strawberry for me, at least for those flavors

November 16, 2015 - So basically creamier, denser ice cream. Noms. Traditional flavors of kulfi include rose, mango, saffron, cardamom, and pistachio. Khulfee ice cream at Toscanini's is obviously inspired by this frozen dairy dessert, and is cardamom ice cream with almonds and pistachios.

Of course, it was more than just that: Thanks to Rancatore’s vision—and some choice flavors, including the signature B3 (brown butter, brown sugar, brownie)—Toscanini’s remains one of the city’s most beloved ice cream joints with two Cambridge locations and 16 Best of Boston awards under its belt.
