December 4, 2022Do I need a 55" wide stand for a 55" TV?
No, technically just as wide as the legs, keeping in mind that the TV sticking out could get bumped. Looking at the picture, those legs look to be very close to the screen width. They don't provide a leg width. That said, the 55" is a diagonal measurement from one top corner to opposing bottom corner. That's how all TVs are measured. The actual horizontal width of this TV is 48.2" according to the specs on the site. We have our 75" in a corner at an angle sitting on a nice piece of furniture that was built for TVs, with glass doors on each side and a center area with a cloth panel door that has the middle speaker behind it. And ours is actually an inch or two wider than the TV's width. More on reddit.com
