I am planning to get a new phone soon, and of course it takes a USB-C charger (I think most everything now does, right?)
That's a different charger than my current phone, and I'm fine with that, I get why the usb-c is better and all that, I don't have an issue with the end that plugs into my phone.
But I do have an issue with the other end...
My current charger is the old kind where the cord is a permanent part of the box. Like this:
I like that, I have always preferred it. Back in high school when I first noticed some phone chargers coming with the cord and box as separate pieces, I always hated it.
People seemed more likely to lose half of it, and any time I borrowed a friend's charger in school, it took longer to charge my phone with them than it did using mine at home.
It's anecdotal evidence, but I'm not trying to convince anyone else what to use, it's just part of why I never personally liked it.
I have had my current charger for fourteen years, no joke. My headphones use it, my tablet uses it, and every phone I've ever had uses it.
So I have never had to adjust to the separated kind because of a mix of luck and care, and if I don't have to I really don't want to.
But the end for it is a micro not a c, so obviously when I get my new phone, I won't be able to keep using this one for it.
So, I would very much like to get the c equivalent if at all possible, but so far my search has not worked at all.
Does such a thing exist?
Can I get a charger like this where the cord is built into the box instead of plugging a USB into a box that plugs into a wall- but with the other end as the USB-C for my new phone?
So far it looks like it doesn't exist, but honestly even trying to look up my old charger gets me results for the separated kind unless I look it up by it's serial number, so I wanted to see if maybe someone knew of such a thing and could help direct my search to find it.
Sorry if this is a dumb question for you guys, I am sure there are plenty of reasons why the separated kind of charger is what prevailed, and pros and cons to either choice, it just really isn't what I want to use if I don't have to.
And trying to figure out how to even look up what I want has been an exercise in wearing away my sanity.
I keep buying "hyper charging cables" from amazon but they dont work as fast as advertised. What is the fastest charging cable and block, or what specs do i need to look for? Thanks!
