Hey,
I'm looking for a way to shut down all my UniFi gear (switches and access points) during a power outage when my UPS is running on battery. I know one way to do it involves connecting to the devices via ssh and shutting them down manually but I'm not sure how to actually set it all up (both the shutdown script and integrating it into NUT). There might also be better ways to solve this issue that I am not aware of. I suppose this is a fairly common issue though so I would like to ask if anybody more experienced could help me out or share their setup.

Why wouln´t let you your Unifi equipment (Network gear) run until the battery is drained? For servers, NAS or NVRs I am aware why someone would want to shut them down. But for switches or access points? As they do not process data and a sudden loss of power could not led to data loss I am not aware of a reason why you would want to shut them down.

It drives me nuts that UI have still not enabled a way to gracefully shut down any of their storage enabled appliances such as UDMP, NVR, etc. Ubiquiti need to sort out basic functionality as it precludes them for so many people who want this basic service. It can’t be that hard to sort out using NUT or anything that works.
