January 24, 2025 - Another one of the unusual things to do in San Francisco is to visit the Columbarium. This facility is run by the Neptune Society and is the resting place for thousands of late San Francisco residents. Each cubicle that houses the remains of a loved one showcases the unique personality of the deceased.

August 8, 2024 - We had a lovely sunny afternoon and enjoyed a flight of beer at San Francisco Brewing Company and of course, had to buy chocolate to bring home! The Ferry Building is a food market paradise – it’s extra fun to visit on Saturday mornings for the Farmer’s Market, especially if the sun is out! I tried the unique Charcoal latte at Red Bay coffee!

January 16, 2020 - Treasure Island Flea Market – one of just a couple things on this list I haven’t done, but supposedly has lots of antiques and a fun vibe · 23. Sausalito Ferry from Pier 41 – a great – and cheap – way to get out on the water. A short 30-minute ride to Sausalito. 24. Wave Organ – makes different sounds based on the waves hitting the pipes built into the jetty. A really fun San Francisco hidden gem for little ones to hear.

February 29, 2024 - There are three cable car lines in San Francisco: Powell-Hyde, Powell-Mason and California Street lines, each offering unique views of the city’s landscape. My favorite line is Powell-Hyde. It goes through the famous Lombard Street and my favorite neighborhood - Russian Hill. If you want to take some photos with the cable cars, the best spot to do it is on Hyde Street and Beach Street, at Fisherman’s Wharf.

September 22, 2024 - The entire house is painted with a jungle theme in mind (with tons of jungle animals), and it’s downright gorgeous! The detail is just amazing — so intricate and colorful. The garbage bins are even painted to perfectly fit into the scene! Where to find it? On Church Street between 22nd and 23rd! A Eucalyptus forest! A memorial cross! Unique perspectives of the city! A visit to Mt. Davidson is like checking off a whole bunch of secret places in San Francisco in one!

January 20, 2025 - Besides the Golden Gate, the Painted Ladies are probably the next most famous part of San Francisco and I loved seeing these unique houses. If you’re a Full House fan, know that the actual Full House house is a mile away! Another local suggested checking out Jane the Bakery down the street from the painted ladies and getting the cinnamon roll.
