These special trailers transport MILLIONS of dollars every night. If these trailer breaks down for any reason before it reaches the airport that is a huuuggggeeee problem lmao. Once the trailer reaches the airport it gets unloaded and the packages get loaded again on an airplane. The plane flys to the main UPS hub in Louisville, KY (Biggest UPS warehouse in the country) where it gets sorted and processed once again, loaded on another plane to its final destination. In reverse order, an air trailer picks up the air from the airport and drives it to the local warehouse. Just curious how differently the next day air envelopes are handled as that is what I normally get a lot of due to the work I do I've heard next day airs are handled differently several times before and was just curious as to how and if they are envelopes also... I also wanted to give a big thank you to all you ups employees for everything you do day in and out, at least where I live the UPS drivers are in a league of their own always make it by deadline if its wet out my parcel is in a bag and secured by something not just laying on the sidewalk or steps of the porch like fedex and amazon always do.

You can drop it in a box as long as it has a label. Make sure you drop it before the time listed on the box otherwise it won't be collected until the next day

Yes you can but if you want to guarantee it goes out on time and be covered for a guaranteed service refund I'd take it somewhere like a UPS store and get a drop off receipt. FYI no air will go out tonight Sunday, it wouldn't be picked up until tomorrow Monday and get delivered Tuesday

It's not often, but we use an overnight courier to mail physical items. Think paperwork, rollover checks, physical stock certificates. Honestly? Clients have piece of mind sending us a rollover check via UPS with a tracking number, over a regular USPS envelope. USPS service in our area is TERRIBLE.
However, our UPS rates are really expensive. A simple letter envelope is over $20. Over time, that adds up.
Do any of you have a solution for an overnight mailing? Something that is more cost effective? Is there a group discount, affinity code, or similar where we can leverage some economics of scale? Any best practices?

Do you have a commercial account? We have a company account with volume discounts. It’s substantially less than standard rates. We prefer UPS and FedEx for checks and paperwork because of issues with USPS so I appreciate that.

Check rates on pirate ship. I hardly ever send anything anymore, but if I remember correctly they just shop it out to UPS, fedex, and usps and negotiate lower prices.

Pretty much what the title says — I have some documents to send, and can't get my hands on the UPS envelopes. Can I use another envelope/another hard cardboard mailer?
I'm not seeing the option of using a non-UPS envelope on the site (below); looks like you can choose "My Packaging," but you still have to specify the dimensions, and the site only lets you proceed if Length/Width/Height are at least an inch each (defs under an inch for height).

You can pack it yourself and print out lable online. Don't need an account, you can also price beforehand online. I suggest you do that ,need dimensions and weight to get the quote. If I was on a laptop I'd check for you... takes a minute. Make sure it's actually the main site not some service place
