October 19, 2023fellow ups preloaders/package handlers, how much do you all make a week?
I get $15.50 with a $1.10 cost of living adjustment. I was taking home $220/week after taxes working about 3.5 hr/day now that we are hitting a busier time I'll start getting atleat 5hrs/day anything over five a day is overtime. Next month they will let us double shift so I will work on Sundays to make my Friday (6th punch) 100% OT. I will average 300+ a week until we get to the week of black Friday that will be a 500 dollar week. With all that said last year my family used $25,000 in medical with only $2000 out of pocket. That's another $400 plus a week. Not everyone needs the insurance until they do. We went years without it until a cancer diagnosis made me realize the value of it. Edit: union dues are 2.5hr/month we had no initial fee and I also put 15% toward 401k More on reddit.com
