Console Port Connector Pinout Information | Juniper Networks
Table 1 provides the pinout information for the RJ-45 console connector. Note: We no longer include the RJ-45 console cable with the DB-9 adapter as part of the device package. If the console cable and adapter are not included in your device package, or if you need a different type of adapter, you can order the following separately: RJ-45 to DB-9 adapter (JNP-CBL-RJ45-DB9) RJ-45 to USB-A adapter (JNP-CBL-RJ45-USBA) RJ-45 to USB-C adapter (JNP-CBL-RJ45-USBC) If you want to use RJ-45 to USB-A or RJ-45 to USB-C adapter you must have X64 (64-Bit) Virtual COM port (VCP) driver installed on your PC.

How do I build a USB to rollover RJ45 cisco console cable?
The link that you provided for the USB to console cable actually does more than a direct connection. It converts the USB to a serial connection then to the console pinout you will plug into your Cisco device. You won't be able to simply connect the wires from the USB to console cable. Mailing List Archive: Cisco USB to serial cable/pinouts
The documentation on cisco.com backs this... http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/asr920/hardware/installation/guide/ASR920_HIG/hw_installation.html#pgfId-1281737 I find the decision to use a "Type A" USB port for this purely amazing, given that the USB spec explicitely forbids A-to-A cables, as that's just not how USB works (strictly host<->device and A<->B, always, if you have a host-to-host A-to-A cable it really has circuitry inside to make it look like a "device" to both hosts). Whoever designed this has been smoking interesting weed. OTOH, Fig. 3-23 suggests that there is a "real" USB host port (the "EIA Console Port") which might be able to drive a USB-to-serial, if it's the right now - if it can be used to connect a modem, it can be used to connect to a console server.

Understand Cable Requirements for Console and AUX Ports - Cisco
There are three types of commonly used RJ-45 cables: straight, cross and rolled. Hold the two ends of an RJ-45 cable side by side. There are eight colored strips, or pins, at each end. If the order of the colored pins is the same at each end, the cable is straight.
