Used keyboard for a hobbyist?
Your budget is just rather slim. There’s no weighted keys for $200-300 new that are worth paying for, so it’s good that you’re open to used. The P-45 (aka P-71) is a fine option if you can find one in your price range. I’m not against Casios, but stay away from the CDP-S100 or 110; they feel acceptable but sound like shit. The brands to watch for are Kawai, Yamaha, Roland, and Casio. Casio is the one with a few sketchy models, but the rest are pretty solid even in their entry level weighted key models. Regarding key weight, note that even amongst fully-weighted keybeds there is a range of feel, with some feeling heavier or lighter. Generally speaking it goes like this from lightest to heaviest: Kawai, Casio, Yamaha, Roland. If your mom has any concerns for wrist fatigue, it might be worth avoiding a heavier weight (assuming you can’t let her try before you buy). More on reddit.com

FB Marketplace is the best bet. Usually free but you’ll have to move it, which is a royal pain. It’ll need tuned too. Also, a good rule of thumb is to have it tuned every time it’s moved. More on reddit.com

In my opinion it is being used quite often in Rock music, maybe just not in the main stream in 2024. But Check out Leon Russell, great rock pianist. Also for more current Rock piano players, check out bands: Andrew W.K, Low Cut Connie, AJ Croce, Neil Francis, Hawk Foxman and Ben Folds. There are tons of Folks out there performing rock music on piano, just gotta find em! :) More on reddit.com

The G915 is the original model that came out some time ago. I think 2019? There are some changes to the X version, namely the type of switches and key caps (Double shot pbt and is more durable) and they updated the charging port from micro USB to USB C.
I have had several of these keyboards. G815, G915, G915 TKL and just got the G915 TKL X Lightspeed. Even wired, I have no issues with responsiveness. I am a Clicky user, and I think it is quieter and feels more spongy to me. So, linear should be quiet. There are some YouTube videos that demonstrate the loudness of each switch type.
Overall, I am liking the changes, albeit minimal, and would recommend the X version. My biggest gripe with the older model is the symbols were not illuminated, which the X version addressed
