Ordered a Vionentus leather case for my 17 pro max on 9/22, it had a note on the page that they were receiving high quantities of orders and the case would ship out by 10/10. They kept that warning on the page for another 1.5-2weeks, so I figured it must not be too crazy if they havent further pushed out the dates for later orders. I figured that 10/10 date was the worst case, and since they left the message up for 2 weeks after I ordered, I would be in the clear.

I email them on 10/7 asking for an update, they say it is out of stock and is scheduled to ship to me on 10/10. The website then changed to saying orders with be shipped out on the 17th. So the 10th comes and goes, and I send another email on the 11th where they said "we’re currently handling a high volume of packages, which has slightly extended our usual processing times... it will be shipped as soon as possible."

I email them again today saying that if my order is not shipping out by the end of the day today, to cancel or I will issue a charge back. They replied with "Due to high demand and some supplier delays, production is taking a bit longer than expected. Since this is a new product, we’re being extra careful with the quality. We don’t want to rush production or send anything that isn’t perfect, which may take about 1-2 more weeks to complete." So I asked for a refund, waiting for that to come through.

I had heard good things about these guys... not sure if they got bought out by some other company but they are handling the iphone 17 release terribly. The website STILL says orders will be shipped by 10/17 even though my order from 9/22 wont be ready until at least 10/20.

Previously had an Apple ‘Leather Case’ for my iPhone 13 Pro and it was great. Given that apple has moved away from using leather, I’m looking for recommendations for an aftermarket ‘genuine leather’ case. TIA

Dear r/iphone , interested in your opinions. Now that Apple no longer makes leather cases, which manufacturer makes the best runner up in your estimation? I have owned almost every single iPhone and leather case since the 2g, but I am not a fan of encouraging the proliferation of micro plastics (latest iPhone case material). I think it’s genuinely one of the biggest problems we face today as a species. Thank you for your help!

edit: thanks everyone for your input! I opted for a bullstrap. It cost me an arm and a leg but it’s amazing quality.
