eFiled with my Federal back on 2/3. When I check the where's my refund portal its still on the first step saying it was received. I sent a secure message and the response was,
"Our records show your 2022 return was received but have not completed processing. A request has been submitted to our Process Unit for review of your filing. We apologize for this delay and any inconvenience this matter has caused. Please allow additional processing time for the completion of your return. If we can be of any further assistance, please contact us."
Has anyone had any similar delay? It's been about a week since I received the above message with no change or update.
Just wondering, for those who have filed their state taxes, and their state taxes have already been accepted if they’ve received a refund yet or how long a refund would take to be received
Ive seen a lot of people getting theirs by check already getting theirs weeks ago. The website says I qualify for 400 via check but Im worried I may have missed it in the mail or someone snagged it out my box.
i interned in va last year and received a virginia tax return so i filed despite not being from there. suspecting this has something to do with it, but its been 3 months and it says it’s STILL processing. has something similar happened to anyone else?
I have been waiting on my state refund for about 9 days which isn’t long but I did want to ensure it wasn’t going to be intercepted. Turns out I have a verification letter on the way. If you haven’t received your state refunds check to see if you have a verification or interception pending.
I was wondering if anyone has ever filed Va state taxes and never received there refund? My wife and I filed our taxes January 28th. The Va tax refund website says our deposit was scheduled for February 14th but we still haven’t received it.
Accepted on 1/22 and wheres my state has not update since, just saying processing. Wanted to know if anyone else has this problem or have received their refund?
My federal refund is only $45 this year, and my state refund is $43. Last year the federal was over $1000, and this year I made about $5000 more than I did last year. I haven't submitted it yet, but I don't understand why it's so low. Does anyone know what's up with this?
2017 tax reform wealth transfer from middle class to corporations.
When it comes to your taxes, being at $0 means that the correct amount was taken out during the year. A refund means that too much was being deducted. While a lump-sum refund looks nice, consider that if you have a $1200 refund, that was $100/month that you didn't have in your pocket each month. If you were lucky enough to have had that $100 each month in your pocket, you could have potentially earned interest on that money over the course of the year. Instead, the govt took $100 extra each over the course of the year and could then earn interest on it. Then you get the money back you're owed.
A refund is a potential positive for those who may not be good at saving, but a low refund isn't necessarily a negative thing.
How is the tax rebate suppose to help Virginians with the cost of everything rising, if all of Virginia tax payers are not receiving it? In order to receive the rebate you must owe taxes? I’m not understanding this. We pay taxes in Virginia, why is everyone not eligible? Just checked their new tool and apparently, I am not eligible because I did not owe any taxes last year. How is this helping anyone? check your VA rebate
It's a rebate, so it makes sense that you would have to have a tax liability to receive it.
It's not like a stimulus check.
What about those who don’t qualify?
Lower-income Virginians should get a new break on taxes next year due to the new policy making the earned-income tax credit for working families mostly refundable, meaning bigger refunds for many filers with little to no tax liability.
“It will likely equate to a few hundred dollars in additional refunds per qualifying family,” Wodicka said.
Democrats pushed for the EITC change as part of a bipartisan budget deal with Republicans.

Did anyone from Virginia have their state refund processed or deposited yet?
