Walmart offers passport photo services through its Photo Centers at participating stores nationwide. Customers can get two printed 2x2 inch passport photos taken and printed on-site for $7.44 to $7.64, depending on the source. This price is consistent across multiple references, with some sources noting a slight variation due to updates or regional differences. The service is walk-in only, with no appointments required, and the process typically takes 10–15 minutes.
For added convenience, Walmart also provides an online passport photo printing service via its Walmart Photo website. Customers can upload an existing photo or use a digital tool to create a passport photo, then choose to pick up the prints in-store or have them delivered to their home for an additional $4 to $5.99. However, Walmart does not offer digital passport photos suitable for online submissions; all photos are physical prints only.
To save money, a cost-effective alternative is to use a third-party service like Photobooth.Online or epassportphoto.com to generate a printable 4x6 inch template with six 2x2 inch passport photos for as low as $2.95. This template can then be printed at any Walmart Photo Center for approximately $0.12 to $0.25 per print, significantly reducing the overall cost.
Walmart Photo Centers are typically open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays and may have shorter hours on weekends; it is recommended to verify the specific store’s hours using the Walmart Store Finder tool. The service is available at over 4,500 locations across the U.S., making it accessible for most customers.
It is important to note that while Walmart prints photos to standard size and quality, they do not guarantee compliance with all official requirements, especially for non-standard formats such as Canadian passport photos, which require a photographer’s signature and date on the back. For guaranteed compliance, especially for digital submissions, using a specialized online service with expert verification is recommended.

DON'T GET PASSPORT PICTURES DONE AT WALMART
Passport photo
I have a digital photo that meets the photo requirements (white background, correct head placement, etc). I'm wondering if it would be sufficient to get the photo printed 6-at-a-time on a 4x6 print at Walmart, or if the resolution/quality wouldn't be good enough. I know it has to be 300dpi but can't find info on what resolution Walmart uses for 4x6 prints.
If not, any suggestions for places that would produce a photo with acceptable quality? (CVS? Staples?)
Where is an easy place to get a passport photo that's decent quality? Do you need to schedule an appointment or are there walk-in options?
My last one was horrible, the original one I took was rejected and the replacement was one of the worst pics I've ever had taken. I just want a nice photo for once where I don't look like a thumb.
