r/walmart on Reddit: Walmart's starting pay in 2018 was $11/hr
November 13, 2023 -

Walmart's starting pay in 2018 was $11/hr, adjusting for inflation that is $13.63, as near as makes no difference to $14. Once you adjust for inflation Walmart hasn't increase its starting wage in years. But don't forget they took away myshare so in real terms there's been a significant pay cut. Team Leads started at $19/hr when Teaming rolled out, today that would be $22.40. For Coaches its even worse, starting pay was $55,000 in 2020 when the coach position rolled out, today its still $55,000 but adjusting for inflation it should be $65,000. Don't forget that even with Walmart's "generous" cost of living adjustment (2%) you will be getting a pay cut. In January 2023 Walmart announced everyone was going to $14, as of November that should be $14.37, a 2% raise would be just $14.28.

What is Walmart's starting pay? - Quora
Answer (1 of 3): I assum it would be higher in states that have a higher minimum wage, but here in Maryland at least it is $11 an hour. Then if you work overnights you get a 50 Cent shift differential so that would be $11.50 an hour.
