r/UPS on Reddit: How long does "out for delivery" take?
April 5, 2018 -
Been out for delivery since 8:19am. It's almost 10:00 now. The warehouse is 15 minutes from my house. Are the delivery routes long and complicated? Can I track the exact destination of the truck now?

Delivery depends on the level of service (next day air or ground, for example) and the type of address (business or residential). If it’s next day air (not saver), the commit time is generally 10:30. If it’s not next day air, odds are it isn’t getting delivered before 10:30, because most drivers are delivering those time sensitive packages. Drivers then typically deliver businesses, take lunch and then start business pickups. Residential deliveries are worked into this schedule, or done at the end of the day, which can be as late as 9-10:00 pm. No, you can’t track down the delivery vehicle. Hope this helps. In the future get the package held at the facility if it’s that close to you. Stop in to the customer counter and find out how to do this.

I don’t know my international service lingo as well as I should, but I think it’s end of day residential; 3:00pm business.

How long does a package stay in “out for delivery”?
I'm in the same boat right now. Ordered off of AliExpress for the first time and it's also being delivered by Cainiao. Package says it went out for delivery at about 7AM this morning from Camden which was kinda weird but since I'm right across the bridge in Philly I didn't think much of it. AliEx is showing my delivery date as being the 22-26 though and today is the 20th so not sure what that's about. Hoping it's the same as you where it ends up coming tomorrow. Ealier last night the delivery date showed either the 20th or 21st. You getting yours a day later gives me hope it'll be the same for me. More on reddit.com
