r/shealth on Reddit: Samsung health stopped syncing with watch after update
July 9, 2024 -

Hi everyone, is anyone having problems syncing the Samsung health app with the watch? It shows the GW6 is connected but shows the incorrect steps. I have to force close several times before it finally syncs. Version of Samsung health is 6.27.0.161 , it's really fustrating. Are there any known fixes? Any help is appreciated.

I hope this helps the next person. So i saw a fix on another forum. I uninstalled Samsung Health after backing up to Samsung cloud. Then downloaded the old version from google play. Upon opening the app it restores the data from the cloud. Then everything worked fine after that. The alternative is to reset the watch to factory default but I'd already done that in the past and takes a while to setup again so I chose not to do that.

You could try a few things. The first thing would be uninstall and reinstall Samsung Health. Then try syncing with you smartwatch again. If that doesn't work then try uninstalling the updated version of Samsung Health on your phone and use APK Mirror (website & app) to safely install a previous build number (older) version of Samsung Health and see if that helps. I've also noticed problems since the redesign. I have my GW5 paired with my S22U. Both are currently up to date, but now steps are incorrectly recorded or not syncing. Active time disappeared altogether. Sleep tracking is still decent, but now SpO2 refuses to sync to the app and the watch refuses to do manual readings. HRV (stress) is sporadic. I wonder if the GW7 series are affected? Maybe this is Samsung why of nudging everyone to get one to preorder one of those models then after their official release send out an update to fixes this issues on older watches? I hope because that would be real scummy. My Fit 2 is still working without problems so I guess the older non WearOS wearables aren't affected.

r/GalaxyWatch on Reddit: Galaxy watches not connecting to wearable app 2024
January 1, 2024 -

Today my Samsung galaxy watch 5 pro just would not communicate with the wearable app on my S23 Ultra, the app just would not load, i tried resetting the app, uninstalling, factory resetting the watch and had no luck, I then discovered that the watch manager apps had been removed from the playstore, I also could not find my already installed manager app in my settings, I searched it through chrome and got to playstore through there to find that the app is not compatible anymore and was automatically disabled by my phone

Solution: Uninstall watch 5 manager from the playstore, reconfigure watch in wearable app and the wearable app will download all necessary files
