In the same boat, got my key from OnTheHub and it reads as a Retail key. MS support had told me it was eligible for the ESU but I still haven't seen anything pop up while fully updated. I want to get the process over with so I can turn off all the ads and telemetry again. More on reddit.com

How do I enroll my child’s Windows 10 PC in ESU?
If your child’s device shows a message saying it can’t be enrolled in ESU, it likely means they don’t have the necessary permissions. In that case, you’ll need to enroll the device for them. To do that, you must be set up as a user on that PC. If you aren’t already, your child will need to add you as a user before you can complete the enrollment. Follow these steps to enroll your child's device:
- Switch to your user account on your child's device by selecting Start and select the account name icon (or picture) of your account.
- If you are not a user on their device, your child will need to add you as a user on your Microsoft account and configure it as an administrator following the steps here: Manage user accounts in Windows.

I have Windows 10 Education edition and still have not gotten the option to enroll in the extended security updates. My PC does not meet the requirements for Windows 11 so upgrading is not currently an option. All options for enrolling in ESU on Window's website refer to upgrading the consumer editions, but I can't find any information about the Education edition. I have been out of school for a number of years and was provided my windows key by the university when I went there. What are my options? Thanks in advanced.

Hi all,
Has anyone had any luck getting this for the Education edition of Windows 10? I have 22H2, the required updates etc. https://www.askwoody.com/forums/topic/how_to_force_windows_10_esu/ This solution does not work for Education as far as I can tell.
I purchased this edition when I was at uni years ago.
Any info or advice from those in a similar position would be much appreciated!!

Education esu looks like it will now be free for year 1, $1/£1 year 2 and $3/£3 year 3. Just ordered our year 1’s from our CSP
