The USB charging on my Note 9 seems to be a bit unreliable lately. A couple of times, I've plugged in the cable and woke up to find that my phone hasn't charged at all. Other times it can be fine.

I'm thinking of getting myself a wireless charger, but I'm unsure if I should be looking for a magsafe type as I also have some Anker P20i Earbuds that 'might' work with Magsafe?

Any advice would be appreciated

Edit : I think Magsafe is just for Apple products? I don't have any.

Tempted to get a 15w wireless charger for my android phone (s21) since I've never had one, but I have read they produce a lot of heat, and stress out the battery. Are those concerns legitimate or a tad overblown? Wireless charging is also a bit slower than wired charging, naturally.

I am hoping the convenience of wireless charging outweighs the cons.

It maybe a stupid question but I've never done wireless charging before and I don't know how it works for capatiblility and what to look for exactly. Kind of sick and tired of having my charging port becoming damaged over time and I know I'm a bit clumsy and accident happened when my phone falls and the wire gets pulled. It ends up damaging it over time and I want a change. Had my phone for basically 3 years at this point and it's been serving me well but I want one that will last me just as long, of not even longer and that I know I can charge wirelessly. Any suggestions of what I could get?

I just bought an s23+ which is the most expensive phone I ever bought. I have never used anything that has wireless charging and since s23+ has it, I am thinking of getting one. I was going to buy the Samsung Duo wireless charger but then I saw this LK 3 in 1 wireless charging station and I liked it. I have a Samsung Buds 2 Pro and might eventually get the watch as well. This looks good but I don't see many outside reviews besides the one on Amazon. Has anyone used this? Which one should I go for among both? Open to other product recommendations as well

I feel like the wireless charging overall, specially powerbanks. Are more of a gimmick to me.

1. They charge slow

2. They heat up the phone like an induction stove

3. They are not efficient in charging, i feel like my phone is not getting that 5000mah of charge then its lowbatt again.

4. Not useful when you are doing intensive and your phone gets hot too, it will stop charging.

For me its like a mere feature or option being there. Or maybe as a last resort for emergencies.

Why is there so much craze and demand for wireless charging (pads)? I'm an iPhone user and I see a lot of people wanting and hyping up wireless charging.

As far as I know, the power isn't as efficient as wired charging so there's a lot more heat output and longer charging time.

It is "wireless" but it's still wired and the phone is bound to the charging pad. At least with a cable, I can move wherever I want to.

The fragile charging cables don't really apply to me because I take good care of my stuff. Lightning cables and earphones can last me 5 years at the very least. Plus, Anker's PowerLine+ II cables are incredibly durable and I'll never break that.

Qi's latest standard has up to 10W of output power but I've always used an iPad charger capable of 12W.

The only benefit to a pad is just placing the phone and it's done, but wouldn't it getting moved disrupt and even slow down the charging?

My charging port is giving up on me after 5 long years. I need a wireless charger recommendation before it does give up. I use only the basics. Slow (normal) charging and no pass-throughs to any other device i.e. earbuds. Would like to be budget-friendly.

After years of iOS, occasionally jumping to Android every few months, I've decided to grab a Nexus 5 and keep it.

I've recently reorganized my desk and a Qi charging mat would be incredibly useful and convenient in my case but I have read worrying things in the past about excess heat, waste of electricity etc.

Just wondering on where you guys/gals stand on this.

I own a Zenfone 7 and saw some comments of reviews for Zenfone 8 and just have to wonder: why do people view wireless charging heavily?

For me it's not a very practical idea yet, it's more of a prototype gimmick than a feature. You still need a wired pad to wireless charge and not to mention how wireless charging generates more heat than wired charging(even compared to 30w or higher fast charging as I experimented myself).

Except for the occasional use of yeeting your phone to the exact spot where you placed your charging pad so you can lie back down on bed to sleep, I don't see it as a practical feature yet.

I say yet because I believe someday there will be a larger charging radius available at our disposal

So I'm looking for the best 3-device wireless charger that can charge my Galaxy S23 Ultra, Buds3 and Galaxy Watch 7 and is 15W.

I went to an electronics store that had about 5 different wireless chargers from different brands, they let me test each of them in-store and none of them would charge the Galaxy Watch 7.

Samsung currently only makes a 2-device 15W charger and a 3-device 9W charger as far as I can tell, and I have a feeling these won't charge the Watch 7 either, despite them being Samsung products. They changed the Watch 7 tech so previous watch chargers won't work with it. Besides I don't want a 9W charger and I'd prefer not getting a 2-device charger.

I heard a rumour that they are bringing out a new generation charger, but I've seen no evidence of this, has anyone else heard of this?

So, any watch 7 people out there? If so, what does your setup look like?

Lately I've seen lots of posts like, "Wireless charger on Google play!" and "Wireless charger leaked from Samsung!" Ok, thanks for finding these things for us! But is wireless charging practical? Why is wireless charging being made such a big deal? Personaly, I cant justify avoiding the phones intended function, just to charge wirelessly. Not to mention, I have to pay 40+$ for said wireless charger. I mean really, is it that important to "preserve the USB port"? On the other hand, I do think wireless charging is neat, but only that.

So I guess my question is, are there reasons that make this worth my money? What are they?

I'm looking for a 3 in 1 Wireless charging system for Galaxy S22U, Galaxy Buds Pro & Galaxy Watch 4. I've heard the Trio Wireless Charger from Samsung is awful.

Any other options out there that you guys use or recommend?

Fast Charging isn't important and either is price.

P.S. I don't mind a system where the puck park of the wireless charger goes into a bracket while the buds and Phone have a wireless charging spot.

I know it will charge slowly But the thing that concerns me is heating Is it manageable or not?

I'm very unlucky I guess, although at the same time I could have been electrocuted so I guess it could be worse. 😂 I think some water got into my S10's charging port on Saturday. I went to plug it in to a 12v fast charger, and I don't think the tip of the charging cable (the metal jack that goes into the USB port) was totally flush, so whereas the phone will normally detect water and prevent a charge, I think it created some kind of malfunction where the phone didn't detect that the cord was plugged in and it caused some level of current to flow through. When I went to pick it up a few minutes later, I noticed the tip of the charging cable was scalding hot. My pinky finger brushed against the exposed metal part of the charger as I picked it up, and I got a pretty significant electrical zap / burn to my finger, which was not fun. My finger was tingling for 24hrs afterward.

The good news is I spoke to a nurse who said I probably just got an electrical burn at most and it wasn't an actual electrocution. Unfortunately, however, I'm now dealing with a fried charging port on the phone. My buddy who works in IT said my finger probably caused an electrical short that fried the capacitor on the phone.

As a workaround, I can wireless charge my phone, but the wireless charger I currently have is 9v and takes about 3 hours for a full charge. This sucks because I have to leave it sit the entire time and can't pick it up and check messages etc without disrupting the charging.

Does anyone know if there are faster wireless chargers available these days or is this pretty much the max for the S10?
