This was my first time ordering from Amazon and they said that Asendia will deliver my package. I have never heard of them and when I looked it up all I saw was negative reviews, people complaining about "lost packages".
I placed the order last Sunday (19th) and it says "arriving 30 August". That's a pretty long waiting time to come from UK. Are the dates seen on Amazon even accurate?
So has anyone had any experience with Asendia? I'm a bit worried based on the reviews but also I feel like poeple are more likely to leave a negative review when something is wrong rather than positive when everything goes like expected.
Also does Asendia deliver to my door? Or is it depended on the carrier here?
Yeah, they're rubbish, typically used for European orders, it's basically hope and pray for it to arrive, and if it doesn't by the expected date Amazon will generally refund/replace.
I've never had one with any form of tracking information, they usually arrive some time after you've already got your refund. It just gets delivered by your local post, at least it does in Ireland anyway.
Untracked Asendia at an European Amazon site usually means it is just a normal letter from one of Amazon's French warehouses.
They have always arrived by the estimated date for me (Finland).
I'm a seller based in the US and I shipped a package to a customer from Czech Republic at the end of March. The last update that I got was on April 9th, where it says the package "departed Asendia facility. And that's it.
The customer has been messaging me about the package every week, but there really isn't anything I can do. I tried contacting their customer service multiple times with no response. There is not even a tracking code that I can use to find out where the package is. I looked up their usual time for delivery to Czech Republic from the US, and it said 6-21 days, and it's been more than two weeks past that. Of course I understand there are delays due to COVID, but I wish they at least gave us an update about where the package is.
I decided to give the customer a partial refund, but I still really hope it makes it safely because I put my heart and soul into making my products😭 I really wish there was something else I can do at this points, but I guess we can only wait this out.
TL;DR: I learned my lesson and will never use Asendia for international shipping again
