Current Branch Office Administrator here. I do not suggest working here. All of the good veteran FAs are retiring soon. The new ones are jerks with no leadership skills. Not to mention our pay is below industry average and our benefits are not great. I have the best plan and it takes $300 from each check and pays for very little. An ER trip still cost me $4k. They do not contribute much to your 401k at all. Bonuses solely depend on the FA. If you’re in a newer branch you will not see a good bonus for about 3-5 years. The chances of getting a good FA are literally 1-4. Not to mention they are starting BOAs out for a dollar or two less than those who have been there 10+ years. They want you to take on additional “volunteer” roles that used to be fun but now come with weekly reports and you’re not paid for those. You’re not paid extra for a degree. THEY REIMBURSE tuition. You have to foot it first. Then send in the receipts through a very complicated process. You do 80% if not more of the TOTAL branch workload. The FA choose how much of the bonus they want to share. They don’t have to give you it. They promise so much in the beginning and you quickly realize it’s a$$. Try literally any other financial firm. I’m getting out of here very quickly.
