The Yamaha P-125 is still a solid digital piano in 2022. Considering it costs $700 by itself new, getting it, a better sustain pedal, a stand, and a bench for $500 is a pretty good deal -- I would make that purchase if I were on the market for a sub-$1k digital piano.
Casio PX 760 or Yamaha P125 ?
They’re not really the same price because Casio Px 760 comes with a built in stand and 3 pedals. With Yamaha P125 you’ll need to pay more for the stand and pedals (the free single pedal sucks). Cheap X stands shakes too much when playing. If you don’t want to buy the built in stand you might need to buy a good keyboard stand that might just costs the same. Yamaha P125 seems to be better in mimicking real piano and it has 4 levels of sensitivity, while Casio PX 760 has only 3 levels. Comparing just specs I would bet on Yamaha having a better sound. Still, it’s always the best to go to a shop and play both digital piano to compare which one you like best before buying because different people has different need and preference towards sound tone is rather a matter of personal taste. September 15, 2018Yamaha P-125 - Beginner Piano. Too good to be true?
They go for like $800 new or something so the price isn't crazy. It's a great piano, highly recommend, I have one and I've been playing for 22 years. Very good for the price (Yamaha usually is). I'd make sure all the notes work and don't get stuck, and make sure one of the headphone inputs works if you're worried someone's not being honest with the sale. More on reddit.com

All of this is quite subjective, "good enough" isn't the same for everyone. It is a decent entry DP. The best idea is to go and try some out in stores, even for beginners (perhaps with a teacher). Mind it is likely to get a successor soon, with the GT-S key action of the CLP725. A sustain pedal with continuous action is recommended. More on reddit.com
