r/YouOnLifetime on Reddit: Season 4 of You is Awful
March 18, 2023 -
Let me know if this is a popular opinion, but the writers must think this is the dumbest fan base in the world. They assassinated Joes character. They saw how everyone enjoyed the duality of his evilness, and decided to throw it out the window.
Not even for entertaining purposes, as the beginning of this season was boring, and the plot twist was something literally everyone saw coming. Season 5 better not come, I can’t believe the same writers made this. Season 3 was also amazing, so for this to be absolutely mind-numbing really hurts

Episodes 8&9 were all over the place. I hated the shit where we didn't know what was "real" and what was imaginary. The beginning of the season was good, then when Joe was being hunted it was ridiculous. Definitely the weakest of the seasons so far, but it did have its moments, think its best they end it next season before it loses its reputation all together.

I agree. It was a torture. First three seasons were great and when the fourth started it was so unimaginative like you could smell a mile away that Joe is the killer because what the hell are the chances??? Although, I did chose to believe that creators had very little idea on how to continue Joe's story so they threw in another serial killer because god knows I was praying it wasn't split personality but unfortunately the moment where Rhys magically appeared in the woods rank of Fight Club and I feel like this was their biggest mistake. Either of these two choices would've been and were a mistake because they simply do not fit in the 3 previous seasons. Entire fourth season was just all over the place and made completely no sense in every single aspect of it. It really felt like it was forced because the other ones were successful 'so we have to come up with something'. Sorry for the ramble but I just finished watching it and I'm displeased 💃

March 9, 2023 - Wealthy characters loom large in You’s history, because class and privilege are some of the thriller’s main themes. Born working class, Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) seems to quite often interact with, and reluctantly befriend, the rich. Many of them, it transpires, end up dead. Season 4 of the show is no exception.
