Such a good write up! YouTube, for those who REALLY want to make a living doing it, takes SOO much work! Much more than any "full time" job to do it and promote your channel properly. There's no reason why you need to do one or the other. The main thing to understand with sharing on Reddit is that, most of the time, people aren't interested in what you make. Dumping links onto Reddit doesn't mean that people will suddenly become interested. Effective promotion needs the right context and purpose to get people to buy into clicking off from Reddit and onto your video. More on reddit.com
