I'm selling at a convention for the first time and tried to get Zettle card reader but it says I'm not eligible? Anyone know why? How screwed am I without a card reader?
I’ve been using PayPal Here to process card numbers customers provide me in calls. As that service is being discontinued, PayPal is pushing me to Zettle, but is that my best option?

I've never sold at a convention before but my girlfriend and I both make art so we've always wanted to try it. After I started selling on Etsy last month and getting some okay sales we finally committed to our goal of selling in person and signed up for a booth at a local convention.
I looked at square first but Zettle looks way more affordable so I just tried to sign up and got denied. Does anyone know what factors they look for to deny someone? I have pretty good credit and I've registered a business LLC a couple weeks ago so I'm not sure what basis they have to deny. And now I'm worried if they deny me that other card readers will deny me too.
The convention is in six weeks, is there anything I can do in that time to get approved? If you've sold in person, what percentage of people will be able to pay with PayPal/venmo, etc?
