All of these are simple conventions for adding more standard metadata to a post in a specific, uniform way. First, I’ve decided to migrate from encapsulating my metadata in parentheses to using a slash delimiter (“/”), which, for shits and giggles, we’ll call “the slasher”. This saves you ONE character, but hey, those singletons add up!

October 19, 2020 -

I've seen it a bunch on Twitter, and just now on reddit. A couple minecraft stan accounts (don't judge me) I see use them a lot(like /j, /c, /s, I've seen /pos once) and I tried searching but still have no clue. I was replied to once with " /j????", does that mean anything at all?

I don't wanna post any example or link to some random persons twitter, cause that's weird I think

Edit: I found a list of what a lot of them were. They're called tone indicators -

Tone indicator - Wikipedia
2 weeks ago - A tone indicator on the Internet often takes the form of a forward slash (/) followed by an abbreviation of a relevant adjective; alternatively, a more detailed textual description (e. g., / friendly, caring about your well-being) may be used. For example, /srs may be attached to the end of a message to indicate that the message is meant to be interpreted in a serious manner, as opposed to, for example, being a joke (which is commonly represented as /j).
