I thought it Brilliant. A near perfect study on dealing with grief from 3 different perspectives - the wife with whom the deceased had an unhappy marriage, the son, too young to process as a child, but stuck with the memory of what could be, and the friend/lover, who chose to hide away in the middle of nowhere, to avoid the possibility of having to face his grief. If the story could be trimmed down to under 2.5 hours, it would probably make a brilliant stage play - it’s pretty much a 3 hander already with a few minor extras. I kind of like that they didn’t end up together at the end. Wang does need to experience life more, and In wasn’t ready to leave the seclusion and isolation he had built for himself. Plus the ghost of Siam will likely forever haunt the relationship. More on reddit.com

Regarding Mol (who I think got her way too much/easily), I wonder if she wouldn't have been as opposed if she knew In wasn't a coward. If In had declared his love for Wang and stated it was not because he was a substitute for Siam. We'll never know... There is no pedophilia or grooming involved in this story. In did not have a relationship with Wang as a child, and they were connecting as adults. In wasn’t seeking out Wang to have a relationship with him now that he is an adult. He was processing the grief he had been hiding from, that he was suddenly confronted with again now that his best friend/lover’s wife and son suddenly returned to his life. I don’t classify this story as a BL, but rather a queer story about grief. All 3 characters have been living in the shadow of this man that impacted their lives in varying ways, but left them with many secrets when he died. Wang is the son who has unanswered questions about who his father was, who was seeking answers from a man who seemed to be important to his dad. He sees In as someone who can help him understand his father, but over the years of unknowing has developed an unhealthy attachment to this man that his father seemed close to. Whereas In is someone who ran away to live in seclusion after the death of his friend, hiding away from the world and his pain. When Wang arrived in his life, the son of a man he loved, he is being reminded of what he loved and lost. The son reminds him so much of his friend that he lost, that he is struggling with reliving that love through the son who is searching for answers. He finds comfort in this young adult who represents what he lost. The relationship isn’t meant to be healthy. Healing maybe - they all need to heal from the grief they have been holding for years. But it isn’t meant to be a life long love that exists as a happy ever after. They needed to confront their grief and pain in order to move on. If anyone thinks this is meant to be showing a healthy positive gay relationship, I think are likely misguided and missing the message of the show. More on reddit.com

I just finished this series and it left a giant hole in my heart. I put this off for a long time because of mixed reviews. I generally go into a series blind, without even reading the synopsis (not that I need to, my memory is so bad I can watch the same series a month apart and it seems brand new).
This was an amazing series! The acting, cinematography, story (a bit oof), but it was so good and I wanted to quote so many things (don't ask for quotes, I forgot them all).
Spoilers:
I wish we could actually seem them end up together! I think their personalities fit so well and they would make a steong, healthy, amazing couple.
The mom! I cursed her so many times! If it wasn't for Uea's mom from Bed Friends, I would call Wang's mom the worst one ever! This lady made my blood boil! What a narcissistic, selfish, gaslighting, manipulative, overbearing, and unkind woman! What kind of mother does that?!

I held back on watching this series for too long that when I finally did, I berated myself for what I had been unwittingly missing out on. I loved it so much that it's among my top favourite bls. Wang's mother was the definition of someone who loves the sound of their own voice it was annoying and just a narcissistic, controlling, two-faced person in general. I feel like if Wang had been able to stay with In and study there, maybe eventually In would have shed some of that incredible hesitance he had. He was a bird in his own cage and even if Wang opened the door and showed him he could fly, he just didn't want to. Even though I'd have loved to see them work out, one can't deny that ending suited them. Neither of them would forget that time, but Wang would move on, while In lived with his hesitance and memories of the time he got to experience something special. It kinda reminded me of Brokeback Mountain.

Its impossible to pinpoint the "good moments" because it's all so meticulously planned that everyone I tried to get a quote written down I ended up with a transcription of the entire scene. It's not necessarily sad. I don't cry at "sad". It was just too much. The situation, the emotions, the dialogues are multidimensional and overwhelming. Pond offered a gut wrenching performance that was always topped with a smile that passes through you.

KP left a big as hell void in my heart and (long ass name) filled it pretty fast. 180° has got like three characters and one-two locations but it's already on par with ITSAY, KP and so on. It has got everything a picky person like me needs - gorgeous cinematography (I want the lusty and beautiful color scheme to be injected into my veins so bad), angst, slow-burn, chemistry, physics, biology, TALENT and a sexual tension so thick not even a chainsaw can cut it. I heard that a playwright wrote the drama and let me tell you, that wasn't a surprise to me because the drama has this beautiful theatrical vibe to it. A lot of the dialogues for instance, are so poetic and is one of the best things this drama has got to offer. You don't see this happening that often!! (Long ass name) is not to be missed out on!!! Don't watch the trailers and dive straight into it. You're in for a ride.
