Currently redoing the primary bath. The current vanity is a 48" double sink from Ikea that has very little counter top space. The wall space it's on is about 68" and I could fit a 60" but it would abut the shower door opening a bit (though the door opens on both sides). Thinking of future homebuyers, would it make more sense to go down to a single sink with more countertop space? Or a double sink with less countertop space? Single would be fantastic since they're significantly cheaper for a nice looking one...but I don't want to shoot myself in the foot!

Hi - I’m about to renovate my Brooklyn townhouse and space is tight. The primary bath will be approx 8’x8’ and I can fit in a 48” vanity. Being that it’s the primary - should I make it into a double or keep it as single? I’m worried about the double having very little sink width. Was looking at something like the vanity linked in this post. Thoughts?
Where do you buy your vanities? We bought a small one from home depot for our rarely-used 1/2 bath, but I am not thrilled with the quality… particle board, ugh. I’m looking for something that’s more durable for our high-use bathroom, what stores/brands do you recommend? My budget is $1k for a single sink 48” vanity. Thanks!
