I'm going to be buying at least a 77" TV for the new setup and am looking for a low, long tv stand so I can mount the TV at an appropriate height and have room to put a center speaker under the TV. I'm finding the options to be very limited and most only extend an inch or two on either side of the TV -- and they're crazy expensive. At this point I'm considering getting two IKEA cabinets and putting them side by side.
To those of you with similar setups, what have you done?

Had a similar problem (tall center - low projection screen bottom clearance). Ended up 'crafting' one myself with a couple of butcher block countertop pieces (local 2nds store) and some black iron pipe pieces & flanges, threw some casters on the bottom - boom. Super easy. Out under $400 iirc. Bomb proof as well. Could do jumping jacks on it. Will assuredly last longer than me. edit - Home Depot selling some 5', 1.5" birch slabs for $109, finished even! (sanded & threw a couple of coats of poly on mine for lulz)

The problem you may have with the Brimmes is the open shelves are pretty much useless for any AVR other than perhaps the slim Marantz and to small for most center channels as well. If that is not a concern then it's a nicer option.

I have a custom configured 70” wide Besta, 26” tall, with a 77” LG C1 on it and it’s perfect. Middle compartment has a shelf halfway up, with my center channel on that shelf (angled slightly upward with some speaker wedges). Below is my AVR with plenty of room to breathe. Left and right sections have doors covering the bottom 2/3, with 2 shelves of blu rays behind. Top 1/3 of the left and right is left open for blu ray player, Apple TV, and controllers/remotes/etc. The TV is at a perfect height as well.

Im looking for a wall mounted shelf to go under a wall mounted 65" tv similar to pictured below.
So far what Ive found is not deep enough for the receiver. It needs t be approx 13-14" deep. It needs to be 60-65" long.
So far Ikea Besta is the only thing Ive found. There was a Sanus but its discontinued

IKEA Besta is a modular system that can be floor standing or floating. Lots of flexibility and pretty easy to put together.
