I’ve bought tickets for a friend through AAA before, and the “dining dollars” bonus is kind of a scam. You have to go on a website called DiningDollars.com to redeem the credit, but it’s not a credit towards universal, it’s a credit towards this website that sells discounted gift cards. So you pretty much have to know ahead of time that you are going to spend x dollars at Hard Rock or Cinnabon or whatever to get any use out of it, I let my credit go unused More on reddit.com

You'll have to check multiple areas because all of these are subject to change and be cheaper than other options, but here are the big ones: Online Directly from Universal: this will give you bundles with hotels and park tickets. It's what I used last time I went to Universal and for $1,200 I booked a room for seven nights at Dockside which included single park tickets for five days for two people. As an important reminder you should check prices online every week or so leading up to your vacation because they can drop and whenever they do, call Universal and they will honor the lower price. Call Universal: I don't typically recommend this because it takes a lot longer than just going online, but the Universal phone rep could have access to discounts or ways to save you may not otherwise have access to. Orlando Informer: OI is basically like a designated booking agent for Universal that offers some of the best discounts you can get. Going through them could save you a few hundred dollars, specifically if you're staying at an on-property resort. If you're just getting park tickets I would check the other options first before trying OI. AAA and even CostCo could have applicable offerings to help lower the cost of your trip but it isn't guaranteed and you would have to have a membership with either service to even get those offers. The express pass is you room key so it shouldn't matter where the tickets come from. I've used undercover tourist before never for universal though as their Florida discount on their official site last year was wayy better then any authorized seller. More on reddit.com
