So frequently companies will outsource payroll, so that company might be on the paystubs. They shouldn't be duplicating dates. You need to make sure you get every paystub, keep it, and mark the dates you get them (and tie them to bank account records if you can). The pay stub should say how much you made, how much was withheld for taxes, and how much you were paid. Its very important to make sure these numbers are right (the tax should be what you need withheld, it doesn't really need to be the perfect number, just that the paystub numbers add up to gross pay and gross pay is calculated with the correct hours). If they are duplicating dates I'd ask your employer for corrected pay stubs. When it's time to do taxes your employer will send you a W4W2, grab all your paystubs and check the gross pay sums up to the gross pay on the W4W2, and also check that your taxes withheld sums up correctly as well. If it's wrong you tell your employer to correct it, if it's right you just go with it. If it turns out your employer isn't reporting stuff right then when you do your taxes you'll report the W4 numbers the IRS will ask, you show them your W4 and pay stubs and they'll ask the employer.
