August 15, 2020 - I am having the same issue with my M15 notebook and seems to have started when I updated the bios to 2.5. Whenever I run the Alienware Update program it says it is updating and stuck at 10 percent too. Had to quit and uninstall the program and if you reinstall it still does not work.

Thank you for the update. You don't need to wait for the battery to discharge. Instead if you press the Power button for 10 seconds or more, it will perform a force shutdown.

June 26, 2021 - Yes, it's odd isn't it. It's been reliable for Alienware updates up until now. I think it could be related to one of the cumulative or feature updates for Windows 10. All other updates function just fine, Windows, GeForce Experience, appstore etc. I realise you can manually check on the Dell support site for driver updates etc.

September 9, 2023 - - Uninstalled all the Alienware Command Center software from my machine followind this guide (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6baLqFstyc&ab_channel=DellAiuta) i.e., removing from %appdata%, %programdata%, C:/Program Files and C:/Programs(x86) all the Alienware/Command Center stuff, as well as clean the registry keys as presented in the videos. Reboot. After try reinstalling the latest AWCC .exe downloaded from the Dell driver page, the behaviour was the same and I ended up with no AWCC at all. - I tried installing the oldest version possible from the dell driver page list (5.4.35.0, A00) and it installed. When launching it, it requires for permission to edit and tries to install the updates -> Same behaviour stuck at 70%.
