January 23, 2024 - A-series (Lenovo): Was an AMD version of the T-series during the T470/T480 generation. Replaced by the T495 and later AMD versions of the T-series. S-series: Ultrabook models derived from the E-series. I believe these became the ThinkBook line or consolidated into other ThinkPad lines.

Lenovo completed the ThinkPad brand acquisition in May 2005. As part of the deal, some ThinkPads continued to be sold under the IBM ThinkPad brand for years afterwards. The said brand was however, discontinued (likely due to the license expiring) mid-way in production of the T61/R61/X61 models. March 3, 2025 - Depending on your current workflow, the best ThinkPad will be the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon for the best blend of power and portability. However, I also strongly recommend the likes of the ThinkPad T14 and T14S for business users. However, in my experience, any T-series or P-series ThinkPad will power through almost any task.
