Amazon credit card
The problem I have with the card is that it is only good at buying things off of Amazon if you have prime. So you have to pay the $100 per year subscription just to get any benefit from the card. Plus you need to be smart about what you buy from Amazon to get any real savings. A lot of things are either more expensive than if you went in store or is available on Aliexpress for a third of the price. You probably would be better off getting something like the tangerine moneyback credit card where you can pick 3 categories to get 2% cashback on. More on reddit.com

Does anyone have experience with the Amazon credit card? Is it any good, I'm looking for a second card more in line with my day to day life, my 1st card just basically collects dust but I've had it for so long I don't want to cancel it. All it does it get me travel points which I never use. I want a new cars to get me cash back or discounts on purchases. I use Amazon a lot so that's why I'm thinking about this card.

it's ok... but not the best.... it's good if you shop a lot on amazon and have prime... just like how the costco mastercard is good if you shop at costco a lot.... without knowing your habits it's hard to know what's good for you.... one card i think everyone should have even if you don't shop there is the Canadian Tire Triangle Mastercard.... with the only downside of you earn CT money which can only be spent at Canadian Tire and their other brands under the same umbrella.... why i think everyone should have this card is you get free Canadian Tire Gold Roadside assistance plan if you have the world elite version... AND you can pay your utility bills, taxes with the card as if it's a debit card and earn cashback... FOR FREE! i have earned probably thousands at this point because of this.... i watch out for deals on small appliances at CT and spend the CT money on that... so far i got a kitchenaid stand mixer, a ninja double air fryer... some tools, some furniture and other stuff i dont even remember.... all from just paying bills with the card. it doesn't even have an annual fee but yeah i also have brim, which has increased cashback for amazon... and also good to have (the no annual fee version) because it's one of the only no annual fee free foreign transaction card left in canada i do have the amazon card but i find i use it less and less... nowadays i mostly am on the AMEX train... i find amex has the best customer service, always has my back and AMEX MR points are very flexible and they have a lot of offers that comes in handy every now and then.... cobalt is the fav for a lot of ppl because of the spend categories with accelerated earning... i also have the TD visa cashback as my OG default card... PC mastercard for shopping at PC stores and costco mastercard for costco
