I was just going to buy some ship models from amazon, and this card was advertised to me at checkout. It seems okay by offering $50 giftcard after approval of this card, but I only have little experience with credit cards and want to ask for your guys' opinion on this card. How is it? Is there a catch or something like that? Could I instantly cancel it after approval and receiving the giftcard since I rarely use amazon and I don't want to pay the monthly fee.

It is a legitimate offer, and a good starting credit card. It wont charge you annual fees. Wouldn't hurt to open one and keeping for long term. No need to cancel as this helps with building credit history. Just make sure to pay off outstanding balances on time whenever you use it.

Only good enough for the promo and the boosted cashback early on. There are better promos out there, but if you don't mind the small temporary hit on your credit score and the time it takes to open the account - do it. Edit: I don't think there is a monthly fee.
