Amazon changed its video platform and has made the “free” part hard to find without ads. I don’t know where to find some of the best anymore. Everyday there are changes in price and channel. You just need to copy and paste the links of the videos you want to download: yt-dlp-gui / yt-dlg (Windows/Linux) MacYTDL dvd (Android) These ad-free sites are currently good options too: https://cobalt.tools/ https://shailendramaurya.github.io/racoon/ You won't be able to download DRM-protected videos, though. Don't install anything promising to allow you to do that. It's safer to download videos directly from pirate sources (in case you live in a country where this is not a crime). More on reddit.com

I'm not techno savvy. 76 years old. Give me a break. When I grew up an electric typewriter was the height of technology. We have Amazon Prime and I want to download some free movies or will rent them. Can I then play them off-line, when we are traveling without wifi? Or do I have to be hooked up to a wifi network ? I can play them on a plane?

You can download movies so you can watch them when you don’t have an internet connection, but it’s not the whole inventory…some are downloadable, some aren’t. Once downloaded you can watch them offline, and yes, they’ll play on a plane.
