You just need to make sure your name matches the name on the package otherwise it won't alert you. Sometimes you will find out a package is coming to you before the company says its shipped. FedEx and UPS have an app, which you can install and can get notification (well only UPS has the notification option) but FedEx can send you email notifications. More on reddit.com

I ordered a "LOCAL" item from Temu recently that then came from Amazon. My impression was that that particular Temu seller was actually drop shipping from Amazon, but it's a little difficult to understand where the advantage would be to the seller to do that. More on reddit.com
