Annual vs monthly prime membership doesn’t matter. As long as you’re a member you’ll get the 5% back on Amazon. You also don’t need an account with chase to start. You can just apply on Amazon and if approved you can create a chase account to manage the card. More on reddit.com

No catch except you have to be paying for Prime to avail the 5% iirc. I have my parents use my amazon acc and prime card and they zelle me the money to pay off what they buy :)

I'm trying to compare the two cards. I already have better cards that I use for everyday purchases and will not need to use these cards outside Amazon. I also don't need the financing from the Prime Store Card. As far as I can tell, the only difference left is the bonus rewards, from which the Amazon Prime Visa offers 10% back and the Prime Store Card offers 5-15% back which leaves me confused as to which one of those is the better deal. With these two money back deals which is better?

You’re really never going to use the Visa outside of Amazon? It’s useful for Chase travel and Whole Foods too. Otherwise, I got $150 sign up bonus just after getting approved for the card. I don’t think I’d ever care about the rotating items for my Amazon shopping
