Best Ryzen laptops?
The best you can get right now hands down is the Thinkpad A no doubt. Configure it as a 2700U and multi-touch display and base memory. You can install better memory for yourself, and even an PCIe NVMe SSD for a nice boost. Or pay the 100-300USD to not do it. It can do light gaming and all. It's about ~950USD. This can sustain performance for days due to it's thermals.
Unless looks and flexibility is more important than performance, as if you don't game or do anything remotely intensive in a browser, in which case the Matebook D works since it's much cheaper at around 550USD.
But whatever you do, don't get the HPs. Bad screens (generally hit or miss depending which on you get and when) and they are thermally bad, limiting performance. Not to mention the half-decent Envys still cost more than the Matebook.
EDIT: Other dude is right, might want to look into the E485 or E585 if you want better thermals. Not to mention it'll cost about 600USD to 800USD USD. There are some stuff missing from it, but the performance should be similar for longer.

Does any have have a good Ryzen laptop?
ignoring the driver situation (which is god fucking awful).. i recommend the ryzen 5 2500U with vega 8 because i doubt you ever see tangible differences between 2700U and 2500U, in fact some people made a good point that at same power limit, 2500U probably better since 2700U probably eat that up much faster and thus run hotter.
Huawei Matebook D people like and i agree with them. (with 2500U i seen them as low as $500 at walmart)
2. i have the HP X360 and hardware wise no complaints but paying a premium probably close to your entire budget.
3. people like Lenovos for various reasons, i never really been into them but, they have 2500U variants for good prices and they are solid machines, i just find their design a bit uninspiring hardware wise they are nice.
4. i cannot recommend dell completely at this time, but that could change if dell puts out a XPS line of these APUs i just feel like dell has been too lazy and been reusing same 2016 chassis while giving intel parts fresh looks and parts
but back to the drivers issue, i and a few others here are pissed off at the driver situation, personally if AMD doesnt commit to something soon, i cannot recommend Ryzen mobile to anyone who asks, ill tell them for best experience with least fuckery involved, go get a intel + MX150 laptop for the same or similar costs... sad, i know but realistically as a tech lover i have to be honest and i cant mislead people..
