I recently got a new iPhone. The first time I tried logging back in to the Amex app it asked me to confirm my card. Though I have already had and used this card for almost six months, I filled out the details, verified it was me with a one time code sent to my phone, and it said I was good to go. It took me back to the login screen and then put me through the same process. I did this four or five times, deleted the app, and restarted my phone before contacting support. I have spoke with two separate agents over a two week period now, and both have told me they have no reason why that is happening, it shouldn't be happening, and their "tech" team is saying the same thing. That I just have to wait. I figured a few days, maybe a week would do the trick. It's been two weeks with still no capability of logging in to the mobile app. Has anyone else been experienced this?
I have been trying to confirm my credit card . I'm from Dominican Republic and it doesn't let me to confirm on the official website
I just got my new platinum card in the mail today, and i'm going through and changing all of my autopay options over to the new numbers, but i'm getting "unable to verify" or "card declined" on every webpage. Amex says everything is fine on their end. It's been ~2 hours now. Anyone have this same issue?
Edit: I have been on the phone with Amex, they do not show any of the attempted transactions and say I need to wait 10 days before a card replacement can be issued. I've been a member for years, kind of disappointed with the service as I've been paying them almost 1000 dollars a year for membership fees
Update: it's day two, i'm still not able to use the card, customer service is still telling me my card is fine. make it make sense
Update: after 36 hours, i finally have found someone who will replace my card and acknowledged there was a problem. also you will notice in r/amex and in the comments on this thread that this is actually happening to a lot of people. hope my new card doesn't come in as another shitter
