June 3, 2024 -
I received this email this morning
The reply to address is [email protected] and the sent from address is [email protected].
I didn't click the link, but hovering over it suggests it goes to the legit Apple website. To be on the safe side I closed my email, opened my browser and went the Apple ID website from Google, logged in as normal and as far as I can tell nothing has been changed: my email addresses are still correct (nothing missing or added), as it my phone number, password hasn't been changed, two-factor authentication is still on etc. So either this is a phishing email - a very very good one - or it's a mistake.

I received almost exactly the same email, around 12 hours ago. It doesn't seem legit to me, as it gives my apple id as an old username I used on other sites (not Apple) a while ago. Apple Ids are only email addresses or phone numbers, so this seems 'wrong'. However, it seems to be a very good fake, and without an attack vector I can identify. Irrespective, it's in the trash now.
