If store appointments are available, you can reserve them through the website for each store. If you don’t see the product you want, it could be all booked for the week ahead and you would have to contact the store to understand your options or call Apple sales directly.

You can book from available shopping slots which are based on store staffing schedules. Don’t neglect the online pre-sales support via chat and call and FaceTime scheduled on demand through the Apple Store app.
In my experience I save time by starting with the online pre-sales and they are very quick to fill in any gaps I have in my knowledge and they also can set up a reservation for you once it’s clear you want to go see the product physical or they can order it for you and ship direct or for store pickup. They also can make setup reservations so you get the device or service set up promptly when you receive it. Data transfer, cellular account and more…

Where can I find information about my repairs or AppleCare coverage?
Sign in to Apple Support to get information about current or recent repairs and check AppleCare coverage for each device associated with your Apple Account.
What’s covered under warranty?
The Apple Limited Warranty covers your device and all the Apple-branded accessories that come in the box with your product against manufacturing issues for one year from the date you bought them. Apple-branded accessories that are purchased separately, like adapters, cables, wireless chargers, and cases, are covered by the Apple Limited Warranty for Accessories. Our warranty is in addition to rights provided by consumer law in your country or region.
Our warranty doesn’t cover accidental damage or batteries that wear down from normal use. If your situation isn’t covered and consumer law doesn’t apply, there will be a cost associated with repairs through Apple. If your issue is ineligible for service, you may need to pay the full value for a replacement device.
If you’re not sure what’s covered for your device, you can check your coverage status.
Is there a service guarantee?
We guarantee our service and replacement parts for 90 days or the remaining term of your Apple warranty or AppleCare plan, whichever is longer, as outlined in our Apple Repair Terms and Conditions. This is in addition to your rights provided by consumer law. Equipment that Apple provides as part of the repair or replacement service may contain new or previously used genuine Apple parts that have been tested and pass Apple functional requirements.
This is probably not the right subreddit to ask this in, but Googling doesn’t get me anywhere so I thought I would try.
My question is, do I need to make a Genius Bar appointment to buy a new iPhone in store? I want to go to the store and exchange my old iPhone for a discount on the new one, and I have heard that you should always make an appointment at the apple store to get things done faster. However, the only options for making an appointment are for repairs to the device you already have, there is not an option to make one to buy a new phone.
Should I make an appointment anyways? My store is often very busy and it is a long drive from where I live. Any help would be appreciated!!
Went to an Apple store in Minneapolis a few days ago because my phone died and I need another one. I knew exactly what I wanted - iPhone 13 Pro. Was literally told I couldn't buy one. Nope. Won't sell it to me. Told them I didn't need a whole rundown on the product and that I've had iPhones for over a decade. No can do. "Here's my card. Just sell me the box. They're easy to setup." Nope, you need to make an appointment for another day. WTFF? It was infuriating. I can walk in and buy anything off the accessories rack, but apparently not a phone. It's the dumbest model ever. There isn't any other store that does this.
EDIT: Jesus Christ. Everyone here LOVES the reservation system. I'm still waiting for someone to list another store that does this. It's elitist bullshit that tries to make you feel special. It's still just a phone folks. If you have a store and you sell products, just sell them like a normal store.
