Apple Magsafe Battery Pack I have a fully charged Apple Magsafe Battery Pack. When I attached it to my iPhone 12 Pro Max, the amber/orange light keeps flashing and my iPhone is not even charging. I had to remove it, plug the battery pack to a cable with 20W adapter and then re-attach it to my iPhone again to make it work.

Steady amber light indicates charging of the rechargeable AA NiMH batteries is taking place - continue charging until the amber goes off or turns green. However, a flashing amber light indicates batteries are either: incorrectly positioned in the charger, or not correct for the charger, or may have a dirty terminal (clean off the battery terminals), or one is defective.

Amber: The batteries are charging. Green: The batteries are fully charged. The green light will go out after 6 hours. No Light: The batteries are either fully charged, they're discharged too far to register or they're just too old to recharge. Flashing Amber: Either the batteries are inserted wrong, they're faulty, or the unit needs resetting. To reset the unit:
1. With the batteries still installed, unplug the unit from the socket.
2. Wait 3 seconds, then plug it back in.
3. Do this a total of 11 times. After the 11th time, the unit should be reset and the light should glow a solid amber. If it doesn't, the batteries are probably just not rechargeable anymore, or the charger has completely failed.

Sounds like an intermittent connection. The charging problem could be caused by:1. Bad charger. Make sure you are using the charger that came with your iPad and you have it plugged into a known good wall outlet. If you have access to a different Apple charger try using the other charger.2. Bad cable. Try a different Apple or name brand cable. Do not use cheap third party cables.3. Dirt, lint or fuzz in the connection ports. Check and carefully clean with a wooden toothpick if necessary.4. Software glitch. Try is a reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.5. Hardware problem. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

Hello, Dugfoo. Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities. This sounds like either the charging cable is not completely connected, you are using a third party charger or the USB port on the computer is not high powered. Make sure the device is being charged via the included cable and USB power adapter. If these are being used to charge the device with the same results, see the information in the article below. iPad: Charging the batteryhttp://support.apple.com/kb/ht4060Cheers,Jason H.
