I have this soft carry pouch from Moko that fits my 12.9 inch iPad Pro. This is great for protecting your iPad from scratches, especially if you’re not using an iPad case. It also has an extra pocket that can fit a small keyboard. For traveling, I have this hard case from Tomtoc that is really roomy. It can accommodate my iPad Pro, as well as other accessories like Apple Pencils, charging cables, and small keyboards.

I would answer: Nothing, except the Apple Pencil and a keyboard. I see others recommending a ton of stuff. But then you don't really have an iPad. You have turned it into a whole IT-department or a primitive laptop. What you need is finding the right software to use on the iPad. So you can use the iPad as an iPad as not as an inferior laptop with an insufficient operating system when it comes to file handling. So by overloading yourself with "accessories" you really defy the purpose of having an iPad. And you overlook that an iPad will never become a laptop-like computer with the model name iPad. It is not a "MacFlat". You new iPad Pro has a feature you might want to explore: Scanning 3D objects and rooms by using the "LIDAR" hardware which only is in the Pro models. You use it with apps like Polycam. If you "must" add accessories then start with a set of AirPods Pro so you get perfect sound and "spatial audio" when watching movies.

I am excited about finally having one, but I always worried what accesories are ¨necessary¨ to get the most out of it. Which would you say are crucial? Which ones should I buy? (I am a penny pincher. The keyboard case is much more practical than trying to find the perfect angle to type on the touchscreen, I find. The touchpad is also invaluable for selecting text. The pen is great for drawing and writing. But IMO most important of all is a case with good corner protection. Don't put a case that's the same thickness as a phone case, it definitely needs more. I always put a glass screen protector on my tablets too. Drives me crazy if I get a scratch on the glass.

I recently got the 13” m4 iPad Pro. I love the Magic Keyboard. Honestly i thought it would be a waste of money, but set aside 20 mins to learn the keyboard and its functions and you’ll never want go without it. Imagine your iPhone in a laptop mode, that’s what it becomes.
