Officially everyone has access to series like Severance, Ted Lasso and Silo.
So for those of you like me who have only sipped a bit of the Kool Aid, Apple TV+ finally has an Android app. This is good because, although we have a subscription, the only way I could use it until now was through the Rogers TV app. It's a pain to navigate through and even with a large TV, I have trouble using it.
Unfortunately, Apple have not seen fit to add cast capability, which means I still have to use the TV app to play shows or movies, but at least I can easily browse through Apple TV+ on my phone. I do hope they add it at some point, but Apple being Apple, I'm not holding my breath.
It would be nice if I could get it to run on my Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet, but it won't accept my correctly typed email and password. My guess is that Amazon's brain-dead forked version of Android is too old for the Apple app. It's not a big deal as I've finally given up on Android tablets and am going to buy an iPad Mini one of these days.
Hello fellow Apple Tv watchers. Does anyone know if Apple will be releasing the Apple TV app on Android tablets/phones anytime soon? While I have an iPhone and my new Roku has Apple TV, I would very much like to purchase a Galaxy Tab S8 for on-the-go as I prefer the screen dimension to watch movies, but the lack of the Apple TV app is annoying since Movies Anywhere does not transfer all the movies I have bought from Apple, John Wick 4 being an example (owned by Lionsgate).
Has there been any word lately by Apple?
Edit: Would the inclusion of Apple Music on Android indicate that they would do this for Apple TV as well?
This may sound insane as it's owned by a competitor to Android operating systems but the Apple TV app is currently available on Google TV, PlayStation, Xbox and possibly more TV devices. Xbox and Google also offer films and TV shows to rent and buy yet they're ok with having a competitor's service and our purchased library on their platforms.
I thought this would have made bigger news especially with the MLS season starting, but I really haven't seen it anywhere other than one article I came across in my news feed. Yes, Apple TV app is now available in the Google Play store! I have a Pixel 7, so I can't guarantee it's available on all phones. All I can is is that it's about damn time. Also, I haven't used it really yet, so I can't comment if the app is crap, but at least there's an app now, so it's a good start.
Ive recently subscribed to apple tv plus but there is no Android app for it the only way to use it is their Chrome browser with no settings or options to download so i want to know if there are any third party clients or apps that may allow to watch it offline and adjust video quality Im wondering if there might me any app like tachiyomi that could let you download websites as extention and let you use it in a better interface except here for videos instead of comics Suggestions pls
When will the Apple TV app be available for Android?
The same day as iMessage.
they've never given an indication of making one, which is bizarre. they've had one for Android TV/Google TV for ages and it doesn't take much to make a phone/tablet version
they even have a pretty decent Android app for Apple Music and you'd think they'd want as many people as possible handing them money every month for these subscription services

I stumbled upon this post from the FC Cincinnati subreddit and sure enough this works!
Hey guys! I’ve got an AppleTV box and iPhone so I’ve always used TV+ on Apple devices. My dad just subscribed and can’t figure out how to use it. He uses android devices and chrome cast to send to the tv. I’m really hoping it’s user error on his part - is there a way he can cast it? Is there really no tv app for androids?
Any advice would be appreciated - I know he will love the content but he’s so frustrated he’s already talking about cancelling.
Or anyway to get the apk file ? There's an apple tv app on the Google play store. But says my current device won't support the app. Think that's bs. Know if I side load it it'll work. Anyone have the file or a clean site? Can only find android TV files.
I got Apple TV for the dinosaur show. I was somehow able to watch 2 episodes on my (Android) phone in my phone's brower. I download the channel on my Roku. Roku says my account is disabled. I try to log back in on my phone and phone says to update my account on a device running iOS 12 or later. I don't have that. So is this the end, is it just not possible to have the channel or an account if you have an Android? Any Android user success stories out there?
I recently discovered the apple TV 4k (yes I live under a rock and was bored at work last night) and wanted to know if it would be recommended for someone with a Samsung phone / Google home mini. It appears that one advantage of the device is seamless integration with the Apple ecosystem, and the ability to calibrate color using your iPhone. Would Apple tv 4k be recommended over my current firestick 4k without being immense in the ecosystem?
Of note - I currently only use the following apps: direct TV stream, prime, hulu, max, paramount, and Disney plus.
The there's also the question as to how much better the next edition will be when it comes out most likely next year.
